  Dr. Percival has performed surgeries on both of my children and is an excellent surgeon. These surgeries include metal rods in my younger son's wrist after a skateboarding accident and several shoulder anchors in my older son's shoulder as a result of an old football injury. Dr. Percival is NOT your typical FAKE personality concerned with saying things in a gentle manner (I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ABOUT HIM). He is very 'tell it like it is' and resembles a military sergeant (in my opinion) - ironically, he is a retired military veteran. If you are looking for a doctor who is gentle and candy-coats things then perhaps you should see Dr. Calderone (same office - Dr. Calderone put a metal plate and 7 screws in my younger son's ankle and is also a great surgeon)! If you want a doctor who will give it to you straight up then Percival is definitely your guy! He is an amazing surgeon. He provided us with photos that were taken while performing the surgeries so that we could fully understand exactly what was done (and it is neat too). He is absolutely amazing but not gentle; not one to be mindful of his choice of words nor his delivery! As for the previous reviewer... I am not sure why his perception of his experience was so poor but we have been to this office many, many times and I don't see where he is coming from AT ALL!!! The staff is often extremely busy (but always pleasant) and the wait time can be a little more than what we would expect and YES it can be annoying. With that being said... there are a lot of people who want to have these doctors perform their surgeries because they are extremely good at what they do so extra wait times are the price you pay for wanting to get in with a doctor who is highly regarded and a first-choice for those looking for a great surgeon!
